Hang On
Thankfully, the sun is shining today and as I walked through the garden after work it was still warm enough for a few butterflies and bumble bees to be feeding from the buddleia. They are always so pretty, but what caught my eye for a blip was Tipulidae oleracea, contre-jour.
It's otherwise known as a Crane fly or Daddy Longlegs, even if it's female as this one is! I thought it may be caught on an abandoned spider's web but, once I'd checked my images were OK, I went back to release it but it had flown.
So that's it off to produce lots of Leather Jackets to eat the lawn roots. Ah, well!
