Blue Mosque

Yeah, I know it looks yellow but it really is The Blue Mosque. A serious tourist shot to round off a touristy evening in Sultanahmet. We arrived in Istanbul at tea time and had a very interesting shuttle drive into the city. The mass shortcut across an abandoned building site was probably the highlight; it reminded me of that wildebeest stampede that's always getting shown on the telly! But got to the hotel OK which is in a great location, though it's a good job we didn't bring a cat 'cos there's no room to swing one. Then the touristy bit wandering about in the cold & rain. And dinner in not too much of a rip-off restaurant, getting served by a waiter who'd just arrived back from living in Edinburgh. Really! Now, we've an early start tomorrow so, in the famous words of Zebedee ....
