A juicy treat
Brambles grow in the hedgerows near to our home. and this year there is a good crop. My husband loves to pick and eat them, but a) I don't like berries with seeds and b) I'm too squeemish to eat them in case there are beasties in them.
They remind me of my mother-in-law as we used to go to Pollock estate during the September weekend and collect brambles for bramble jelly. Jean is no longer with us, but I inherited the jelly pan and use it for my rhubarb jam. With all that sieving, making jelly is too time consumming.
I'm not sure what the red berries are, but I think they are poisonous.
