Glimpse of Guildford

My journey home to Mum's for a weekend visit takes me up onto the Hogs Back (A31) from which you get views over the Surrey Hills toward Guildford. Tonight, having left work a little earlier, I took the opportunity to stop and grab some shots of the cathedral lit by the sun.

This view always strikes me as a bit odd, as one is looking down onto the building from the left side of the road, yet eventually you pass it perched on the top of a hill to the right of the A3 - yet I swear the road it straight!
