Gus in grass
Gus at the top of the riverbank on the meander along the River Kent south of Kendal. He is panting away while keeping a watchful eye on his flock (=Rowan) who was fishing about for his frisbee at the water's edge. Rounding Rowan up is even more vigorous exercise than repeatedly chasing frisbees. You can see from his wet ruff that he has had a ducking in the river when going for a drink, which was brave for him, as he doesn't usually like going in water.
There was a big flow in the river after all the rain in the last two days, and a lot of flotsam being carried downstream, I shall spare you the details.
Bob update: we took him to the vet yesterday and he had a jab of steroids and one of vitamins. He has perked up a little, and has some appetite, but the boost was visibly less than last week. He tried and failed to jump on the bed this morning, winding himself in the process. Poor little cat, but at least we shall be with him this weekend. The planned trip to Raasay has been indefinitely postponed.
