Caledonia Road Church

I'm sure this has been blipped before but its always been my intention to photograph it so I took a few shots today.

This is the Alexander 'Greek' Thomson church in the Gorbals. Despite being a Grade A listed building it is in a sorry state with only the shell standing. It has been empty since the early '60s.

Having said that it is still an impressive structure and the fact that it stands in isolation at a road junction makes it really stand out.

The Alexander Thomson Society have plans to develop the site.
