Personify

The second of the Photo5 briefs - using cartoon eyes to personify an object.

Dad and I made gluten free, dairy free pancakes this morning. They were...interesting. They were not as bad as I thought they would be, but nowhere near as nice as normal pancakes are. It's amazing what you can get gluten free, though.

This evening Julia, Liv and I went to see The Paper Kites at The Forum. It's probably the larges venue they've headlined and it was to promote their first album. I've seen these guys at least five times since late 2011 and I will probably see them every time they play in Melbourne - I love their music and they're a great live band.

While we were waiting for Georgia Fair, who opened second, I got chatting to a Kiwi couple who are on their way to London via most of Australia and Asia - they gave me their blog details, and when I looked it up it said they're hoping not to fly at any point. A very admirable journey! We chatted about photography, sociology and how beautiful New Zealand apparently is. I really want to go!

I am actually really pleased with this photo. It's pretty simple but it's so funny - I picked the banana because I thought it looked most like a mouth, and I think I made the right choice!
