Sand Mandala.

The monks from the Tashi Lhunpo Tibetan monastery finishing off the Chenrezig Sand Mandala inside the Chapter House at Salisbury Cathedral this morning. They have been there for four days completing the work

To make it they used millions of grains 0f coloured sand,the design being from a Buddhist text.
This afternoon they will sweep it up,head off in prayers to the river and let the sand go downstream for the benefit of all sentient things.
