Yes, You Read That Right...

...30,000 Euros for one bottle of Dalmore single malt whisky. It's on sale in one of our local restaurants around the block which is owned by a passionate collector of many things from Olympic pins to Coca Cola bottles to gin bottles (they claim to have the largest gin collection in the world, bar one bottle). And the bottle has just been sold! The purchaser of the whisky is a Catalan buying for Chinese businessmen clients to keep them happy...say no more! A lovely night with Hugo who looks after our flat in Copacabana and his girlfriend, Adrianna. They are here staying with us for three nights on a grand tour of Europe taking in Barcelona, London, and Paris...see Dd's blip for today. I hope to have them in my journal tomorrow, but who could resist a last chance to feature a 30k bottle of 'amber bead'!
