"Good News"

Dad had his MRI results and GP referred him for Doppler scan and they sent for him this afternoon. Trips to hospital have been frequent over the last few weeks so dad took it in his stride. His left Carotid artery is 69% blocked but no action at the moment. The MRI showed extensive infarct damage but it is from dads stroke in 2006. The vascular nurse was superb she spoke to dad at length after the scan and said there was nothing to worry about as there would be no surgery and just a follow up by the vascular specialist. We recounted the events of the past few weeks but most worrying being the falls. At the moment dad is having various problems all of which are reflected in his bloods. Next is the appointment with diabetic dr in two weeks time. Glad that things look much better than they did. The scooter was a big hit again, dad said it was such a relief he didn't have to walk such long way down the corridors. Things can only get better !! :))))
