Federal holiday in Germany today - celebrating German unity since the fall of the Berlin Wall. Went down into Kaiserswerth midday and had a beautiful walk along the Rhine river. Now our friend Brett is back from the States and we've enjoyed dinner together and an apple pie I made from our backyard harvest. Now we're about to play 3-hand Canasta - missing my partner, Kristi.
