More Mist

I didn't think I'd get an outdoor blip today. We went out earlyish to do the weekly shopand whilst in the supermarket the heavens opened. People were waiting in the foyer for it to slacken off but I was pretty sure from what I'd seen in the forecast that it was here to stay. I was quite surprised when it cleared after lunch and decided to nip out quickly.

I stopped at Ashcombe and looked down the valley. The warm weather was already lifting the moisture which was coming up the valley side in little clouds. By the time I'd stopped off for a couple of woodland shots the mist was building up and reducing visibility quite significantly. We're due for more heavy rain this evening but a better day is forecast for tomorrow. It will be great if it gives us some clear skies too.

In the meantime here's a view over the golf course, where unusually no-one was out playing. I thought a low contrast mono conversion suited it best.

I think we've probably all got the same sort of weather today, hope you've kept dry!
