Purple wheelie bins

This won't mean anything to anyone outside of Liverpool, but here we have purple wheelie bins for our rubbish. (The council may have been on drugs the day they decided that.) But they're here to stay, love them or loathe them. Like many things in Liverpool they're what sets us apart from the rest of the country, so there's a certain pride in them, so much so - as this shot of a shop window display shows - that anyone can now buy their very own miniature purple wheelie bin. A souvenir from Liverpool or just somewhere to put those stray pens and bits and pieces...
