I suspect he is up yo no good although there are no birds in the nesting box. All our nesting boxes have had their entrances pecked larger by the woodpeckers.
This is an old tree with several holes and lichen so it is probably good for bugs etc I have seen him on this tree before.
Not a great photo as I had to take it from the window, he is very shy and as soon as he sees me he is off!
