Blue Shoes and Happiness

There are hundreds of stunning beaches on the Seychelles - this was one of our favourites. It goes without saying that the water was warm and clear, the sand clean and golden, the beach quiet and deserted. So what made this one special?

Well this is on La Digue, a lovely little island which is almost completely car-free - people cycle, or sometimes use oxcarts. So getting to this beach involved a gentle bike ride from the main harbour to the other side of the island, allowing us to gently absorb the Creole culture as we went. The journey there made arrival all the more special.
