Tryanne II

This oddity was spotted in Haverfordwest. Because it was so unusual, the owner had put an information sheet inside the windscreen to give onlookers some information.
It is a wooden car called Tryanne II hand built as an ecologically friendly means of transport.
The chassis is Douglas Fir and Gaboon plywood - the body is Kahya, African Mahogany cold moulded from three layers of veneer.
It was built in 1987, 1988 and took 2,000 hours.
It weighs 450 kg and is powered by a 602 cc Citroen 2cv engine and has a 5 speed gearbox.
His sheet says it has a top speed of 101.75 mph (sooner him than me) and does 60 mpg.
You saw it first on Blipfoto :-)
