Blue bottles

When we had this house built we wanted lots of light ie lots of windows. Largely to take advantage of the views we have and also a reaction to our last house which was old and dark.

Windows need cleaning. We did have a window cleaner but we didn't feel he was totally committed. There was no joy in his voice as he talked of the task ahead; or wonder at the views as he went round the house; or pleasure at a job well done when he had finished (maybe that's because the job wasn't particularly well done).

So window cleaning has fallen to me. And I shall seek joy, wonder and job satisfaction.

The task meant I was reacquainted with blue bottles on the window shelf.
