Studio.

Now that the building work is complete and the furniture installed, the 6th form have been able to move into the new studio. Compared to previous years it is a vast improvement, with more space, more light and less clutter than ever before. I've been encouraging them to 'make it their own' as I think that it needs to get a little messier before it will feel like a proper work space.

G,H and S have begun to develop their initial ideas using a range of different media and this blip shows a good variety of approaches including a large (4xA1) study of a section of a pepper, drawn using charcoal and masking tape, portraits painted using highly expressive and exaggerated colours, and plaster ModRoc being used to take a cast of an arm. I'll maybe post more of these to show the development of the work.
