This is Paradise
I left the house rather early to get to Glasgow to join friends in a project - cover all 60,000 seats of Celtic Park in green and white hoops, create an image of a shamrock and the Uefa Cup and spell out This Is Paradise (which is what Celtic fans call Celtic Park).
Why, you may ask. On Tuesday Celtic were due to play Barcelona in the Champions League. This was a big game for Celtic, against one of the best teams in the world. The club decided they wanted to do something special to mark the occasion as the eyes of the world would be on Parkhead. The fans lift the cards that are carefully placed on each seat to create, briefly, a piece of public art and it can be very uplifting to see what collective effort can achieve. This helps lift the fans (the metaphorical 12th man) which helps lift the team. It's a great feeling to play a small role in something so uplifting - literally and metaphorically.
This is the effect created long before the fans arrive. It took a very big team of people two full days to cover all 60,000 seats. I feel privileged to call the blokes who run Philosophy Football friends and to help them, in a little way, create such a big effect.
They make great t-shirts, too.
