Powerful structures from a bygone age ...

Another emergency blip today as the day has shot past me. Took this as I left a meeting at Queen Street Mill Textile Museum today. Not very arty but passable - I hope - as a symbol of Lancashire's industrial heyday,

I am told this is now the last working steam powered textile mill in Europe. It is a brilliant museum - but I guess I am a bit biased! Anyone watching The King's Speech has seen a bit of it themselves.

Just back from a lovely long supper with friends we've not seen for ages and ages! It felt like last week ... Great evening.
