Is it a fruit fly?

One of my father's friends has 2 plum trees in his garden. This means when it's the right season for plums to fruit (now) my father will come home with bags full of plums. I came across this plum with a fly stuck to it. Something you won't find when you buy a packet of plums from tesco.
