Red October
...and if I had been a few minutes earlier getting to the top of the Knott, it would have been even redder. As it was, I was redder than the sky for the effort, while Gus didn't even deign to pant. Still, a good way to start the day. The cloud closed in for most of the rest of the day, and as Gus and I did our estuary walk this afternoon, light was failing quickly at 1830. The day is being squeezed at either end now we are into October.
Bob update: the little chap is completely off his food again, which means he is also not having his thyroid medicine. So his metabolic rate will increase, his heart rate go up, he will be hungry yet unable to eat, and he will lose weight again. We aim to take him back to the vet on Thursday, but these are not happy days.
ps For anyone who saw the first upload, for some random reason, the bottom of the photo was absent - never had that happen before.
