What a game! First half was phenomenal play by the Blues with three -count them, three!- cracking goals. Second half we sat back as Newcastle came out fighting and in typical Everton style, two goals were conceded to make it a bit of a nervy finish...it's good to be back!

Romelu Lukaku is the new star striker, two goals and an assist, big and strong and not afraid to put himself about. A bit like the man in the big DF coat here, Duncan Ferguson was a hero to pretty much all Evertonians back in the 90s and definitely wasn't afraid to put himself about earning himself quite a reputation. But he was still a hero despite this.
Unsurprisingly he was quite popular outside the players entrance so I couldn't get a shot on his own but he hung around for ages posing for photos with giddy Evertonians and even some Geordies too.

Not the greatest shot but quite an apt choice as he played for both clubs.
