Bright spot

The rose stood out from the gloom of grey and thoroughly wet afternoon. The downpour stopped briefly allowing me to venture outside with my iPad .The other alternatives appeared to be a dead mouse in the greenhouse or a snap of the river swollen by the rain. The mouse was leading by a whisker as the river was the colour of gravy, but the rose attracted my attention to claim the prize.
