Last day in Las Vegas
Today was our last day in Las Vegas after 4 weeks in USA. After taking around 4 hours packing and constantly weighing our 4 large suitcases, (to be 50lbs or just under 23 kgs)and also packing 4 carry-on camera bags (1 each large and small), we were finally ready to call the bell captain.
We then crammed the bags into a large taxi and headed for our friend Andy's place for our final and traditional poolside video and photo shoot. We were later than expected as the packing took much longer than we anticipated. This Sunday post-Olympia shoot at the pool has been a tradition since 2000 in Las Vegas.
We were not really late, as the good news was - the 2 models didn't turn up, nor did they call. Their lack of professionalism was no problem to us as we were absolutely warn out and exhausted from the previous 3 day's work. It was in fact as Paladian said, a blessing.
We spent the next 3 to 4 hours relaxing and socialising with our various friends from the video production and bodybuilding scenes in USA and Germany. It was a very pleasant and relaxing time, with a wonderful healthy brunch, in the company of great friends.
Even more appealing in LARGE!
Not surprisingly we all discussed the results from the 2 main events from the night before at the Arena. It was the first time that this event had been a sell-out in Las Vegas, at the massive Orleans Arena - holding around 10,000 people.
Over the years I have used most angles and positions around this wonderful pool and garden setting, so my blip today is simply an overview of the pool photography area, but this time without a model. Paladian blipped a native bee from this garden and you can see it here.
Thanks to our old friend Mario from Germany, he then drove us to McCarran Airport in his rented SUV, and we were on our way after endless security processing to LAX Airport in good old LA , and another flight to Sydney on the A-380 and finally home to Adelaide.
