Fort Union

Today, I visited Fort Union. It was active for 40 years during the latter half of the 19th century. This adobe building was the hospital. During it's life, it treated over 2100 persons, military and civilian. The fort was notable because it was a supply dump and supported Army forces during the civil war and the indian wars of that century.
