Blackberrying.

We have had many dogs that liked fruit, some that would even beg to be offered a blackberry (or two); I had always assumed that, because they lack colour vision as we know it, and their noses are designed to sense meaty aromas, they were unable to find their own.

Hamish is different, although he will wait for the berries to be offered to him, if the service is a little slow, he goes straight into the thickets and picks his own.

If only he would transfer his talents to rabbits, I'm rather partial to rabbit pie, particularly with an ale gravy - and a suet crust pastry - Delia Smith has a good recipe.
