Little Sunny

The smallest & newest of our stunning sunset sunflower flock.

About 6 or so sunflower heads have blossomed since our very first made it's first appearances here & there, before bursting into colour.

It's such a joy to have them continually flourishing throughout the late summer & still just about going strong. Much of the other plants have already faded or are beginning to show signs of frailty, which is quite a sad thing to watch after having seen them grow so vibrantly from seed. Hopefully, some of our plants & flowers will last the winter.

We had some fresh green beans from the garden tonight with our homemade fish pie dinner. We weren't sure how edible sunflowers were, so we went for the more traditional veg instead. Sunflowers are just nice to look at.
