What do scottish men wear under their kilts?

Work in progress.
I have been asked to make a scottish bagpiper for a christmas present for my friends husband.
He is in a bagpipe band in our local area, its a surprise for him so im having to manage with some facebook photos of him in all his glory ( uniform that is)
I am at the moment working on his feet and legs ....and above!
Now im left with the problem of what do with his nether regions?
Do i leave him as it is?
Put him some pants on?
Give him some errrr tackle?
Help! ;)
