One long day that whooshed by so fast.

And now sitting down at the end and thinking "oh wow".

How does that happen?

Up early for a run and a quick trip to buy a hard back notebook having gone back on Saturday's decision that it wouldn't be necessary. Oh, me. One final thought-filled bus journey, a fidgety half hour in the atrium, a brief bumping into with another student and it was time to ascend the stairs to the office. Oh, hello, familiar face and smile. And off the day went...

Introductions, names, policies & procedures, holiday entitlements & pay arrangements, context explanations, reading suggestions, deadline settings, desk settling.

Have I missed something? Lunch, breathe, talk, life, pause.

Back to the desk. Reading, writing, thinking, planning.

Time for home? There's the bus. A chance to sit, think, catch-up on social media and plan my evening.

By the time I reached my front door it's safe to say I was feeling weary! Still, kept going long enough to cook dinner, wash some laundry, make tomorrow's sandwiches and dinner, eat dinner and catch up on Downton.

Now a quick 5 minute blip, then pyjamas, downtime and bed!

Thankful for lots of friendly faces - familiar and new :) excited but a little overwhelmed!
