Over the Dome

I continued my weekend away with my friend and new blip member The Chunkster and we went to London on the train. We headed off towards the Docklands using the Tube and DLR, before we got on the new cable car across the Thames to the O2 Dome. The views were pretty good, although it was still a bit hazy. There were 6 people in our pod, and I'm not sure whether I would like to be in a full one with 10 people, as I think that would be very snug. Here we have a view from the cable car of the Dome with the financial heart of Docklands and Canary Wharf behind.

After we had landed at the Dome we then went underground again to Canary Wharf where we then went back on top and used the DLR to reach Greenwich. We had a look around the fabulous Greenwich Market, before heading into the Park to visit the Royal Observatory. We then caught the Thames Clipper down the river to Charring Cross, where there was a food fair on the South Bank, so there was lots of free samples of food. I tried some Cider, and bought some fudge, while Chunk tried a Devonshire Cream Tea and bought a kit to take away.

Hopefully I'll get the pictures sorted out and put some more on flikr as I tried abit of street photography in the various markets.
