One whole day to get to know Glasgow.
Started our day at the Necropolis (today's blip), before heading into the centre and then continuing our walk by going over to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Walking gave us the opportunity to see the beauty of Glasgow and get a feel for the city. It's full of impressive Victorian architecture and what really caught my eye were the frequent touches of art deco, found here and there in building exteriors or in stained glass on a door window. Another example of Victorian architecture and in a beautiful setting, was the museum which was fantastic. After a day of walking it was lovely to stand and admire the many paintings and exhibits in there. By the end of the day I was wanting to move to Glasgow myself, and on more than one occasion told my daughter how lucky she was to have so much on her doorstep - something she was more than aware of herself!
