Not So Obedient Plant!

This is an up close of Physostegia virginiana, commonly called Obedient Plant. It got this name because you can bend the individual flowers in any direction you like...great for Flower Arranging! Another common name for it is False Dragonhead probably because it resembles snapdragons.

It's a beautiful plant but can "spread to the point of nuisance"! Newer varieties are being developed to be More Behaved in the garden but that would take half the fun out it, for me anyhow ;) She seeds profusely and I toss those seeds around like I was Mother Nature. I'm sure I will Live to Regret that someday!
