Starfish Connection pitch in at the Mill River

Whilst out at Mill RIver on a lunch break yesterday , by chance I met up with the guys. Brian said he might need help today given there was a large group of kids coming to lay wood chip at the playground and to help with weeding along the river bank. I normally only work at Mill River on Sundays but was happy to help out today as well.

I arrived early, helped set up a pop-up tent, grab hoses, put forks, shovels, rakes and buckets and load them onto the Bobcat, then headed over to the playground. There was a lot to do, but with so many kids, we could get the playground looking tip-top.

I will always remember today because there was a lovely little girl Genesis who helped me rake.
