More autumnal thoughts

I think I'm finally reaching a point in my life where I can see myself with more clarity.

I can now look back on my work, my life's choices and decisions, and I think I know now how I would have altered some plans and strategies. I'm realizing that some of what seemed inevitable at the time could actually have been quite different.

My twenty three year old self wouldn't have understood if I had told her this because she hadn't learned the language of life yet.

It seems we understand ourselves retrospectively.
