Blue Vista Barn

Jill, Sue and I drove over to Bayfield, WI today. We like to go the week before the Apple Fest to avoid the crowds. It was a gorgeous day. Warm and sunny, not a cloud in the sky. Not much color along hwy 13 but gorgeous on the way back along hwy 2. Probably because it's farther from the lake. Bayfield didn't have as much color as usual either. We had lunch at Maggie's, went for a quick walk to the end of the pier, then hit all the apple orchards. We loaded up on apples, pears, cider, wine, and my favorite apple sticks. Erickson's Orchard has this wonderful, light, flakey, pastry wrapped around an apple pie filling that's to die for. I always go there first in hopes they aren't sold out. We were lucky, they were just out of the oven.
Buena Vista farm has this lovely barn and wonderful gardens. Besides apples they have blueberrys, dried flowers, and herbs.
