More tree therapy

A lot of physical exertion this weekend for someone who's more accustomed to labouring at a computer keyboard.

Cleared a massive pile of potentially combustible material in the bottom paddock and built a bonfire (dredging up some childhood Guy Fawkes bonfire building skills) for which I need to secure a fire permit to put a match to.

The whole project involved some heavy duty whippersnipping and I have discovered some infrequently used muscles in my arms which severely limited my tree planting therapy today.

In fact, of the two new trees that went in, one of them (a white cedar in the foreground) was already there as it had seeded itself in amongst the garden rubbish I shifted and somehow survived. As a reward, it now not only has some room to breathe, it has also has a thick layer of mulch to help it along.
