Foraging

In this case foraging for creepy crawlies for ducks.

Our guests had made plans for lunch, so we took Tess to Marwood gardens for lunch and a stroll. I was feeling really weak and achy so we didn't go far. Tess wants all animals to be her friends and tries to tempt them over for a pet, but hasn't quite grasped the difference between mammals and other animals. She's convinced if she can persuade ducks to be her friend they'll let her have a cuddle... Anyway she found them a spider and they seemed pretty impressed.

In the afternoon I had no choice but to go to bed for an hour, but it helped loads and by the time we had a house full of people again I was feeling fine.
Mum came over at about 4 and had tea with the younger kids. Then she babysat while Richard and I went out for a meal with Sophie and Dan. It was Sophie and Dan's 11th wedding anniversary so we were flattered that they wanted our company.

We a lovely evening and a bit of a giggle. The when we got back and Mum had gone home Sophie and I sat up until 2.30am making sense of the world and I think we talked a load of crap put most things to rights...
