"lilt of Irish laughter"

My partner in crime for the weekend!

Day 2 at The Fringe started with my second visit to 'The God Particle'! Just as funny this time but it was interesting to see how 2 different audiences reacted to the jokes and funny bits - perhaps the crowd today were a little more reactive!

Picking up Mim again we headed for some free comedy which wasn't great but it wasn't a car crash either! We then had an excellent food stop in the form of 'Mums' - simple home cooked food and after eating there I can understand why it's so popular! Sausages and Mash all round for us before we said goodbye to Mim. I then had to put what I'd learnt from her about navigating through Edinburgh to get Phil and I safely to the venue for some comic poetry from Phil Jupitus!! Slowly but surely my built in map of the Edinburgh streets is beginning to make sense!

Pit stop for a drink and then back to the EICC to see our final show - Jimeoin!! A great irish comic who we here in the UK don't see enough of as he's based now in Australia! He was absolutely brilliant with his quick witted observational comedy that sometimes only the Irish in the audience really understood - furthest north but still in the south joke- haha! Everything he made fun of you realised you were guilty of doing yourself! It was such a great show to end our weekend with!

One final food stop (if I've learnt anything this weekend it's that guys are impossible to keep fed! Always needing their food!) and then back on the road to Dundee!

Thanks for a great weekend Phil - here's to next year!
