Shiny happy Jess

It has been such a beautiful late September day and Jess's coat just gleamed in the slanting sunshine. It is at this particular time of year the light hits the ground an angle so much more acute than a month ago. We idled our way through an afternoon under the great horse chestnut tree on Warley Woods as Jess discovered her tail again. She'd been a little wary of life these last few days for some unknown reason and her tail had disappeared from view on walks. But today she was joyful and carefree again. Happy days.
