Lucky me!

I was recently showing a photographer friend Blipfoto in the hope she would join.

On viewing this photo form June 2013 she casually asked if I would email her a copy.

Imagine my surprise and delight when, last week, we met up and she presented me with this superb drawing for my birthday. Not done by her but by a friend of hers!

It is not displayed at it's best here, and of course my lovely girl was reluctant to sit next to it, but the likeness is remarkable.

P.S. Thanks for all your wonderful comments yesterday regarding my mum!! It is somehow reassuring to know we;re not along.

Today has been equally testing with her pulling the table cloth off at breakfast time, but not quite managing to leave the contents in place as per the magicians - everything ended up on the floor - including her !
She threatened to set my car on fire and turn the hose on me, among other even more awful ideas.
She does not suffer with dementure, but simply cannot cope with anyone not letting her have her own way.
I rarely stand up to her - but on this occasion I have had to - with epic results!!
