The world stone skimming championships 2013

I had THE best time at the stone skimming today.

It takes place on a tiny island called Easdale just outside Oban....accessible only by boat. It has no cars....no streetlights....no roads...... and wheelbarrows are used to transport supplies from the ferry! It was a glorious day and the Island looked so pretty with tiny cottages backing on to a grassy green.

It was however for this one day a year overrun with people!

A wee trip to Oban for fish and chips by the harbour in the sun!
