Sun, Sand and Saturday Fun!

So today was kind of the end of Fresher's Week for the CU, we all went to Tynemouth beach, eventually! We had barbeques going, lots of fun and games, sandcastles and crazy antics in and out of the water. It was a lovely time, many people came (as you can see from the photo) and it was a good time of fellowship and friendship.

Wandering along the beach, with my feet occasionally being overwhelmed by the sea got me thinking, God is in control of all of this, I can't tell the waves to stop tickling my toes, but Jesus calmed the Gallilean Sea! How much awesome power is that? I spent the rest of my wander calling out to God and praising Him, asking Him for help with next year as I start the final year of my studies. Watching the CU playing around and gathering together from a distance, I realised what a fantastic group of people we are as one. We might not always agree, and we might fall out individually, but our love for God will always bind us together, no matter what. An uplifting thought to end a very, very difficult day and an even harder week.

On with the studies!
