For Heart Freeks September Challenge – Your Number
I’m 497 old today...thought this horse was pretty in the sun....,not long to the big 500!
Last night was good fun and everyone enjoyed the evening. We didn’t have as many people there as we hoped but it was still fun and we made a small profit.
The chairlady didn’t think beer was appropriate to sell but I went against rules and we served beer, much to the delight of the men! The chairlady was gracious about my decision and I have a feeling after last night I might just be organising next year’s ‘Theatre In the Village’. Chairlady was very supportive. I was also pleased to see that the Vicar was supporting the event and came along to enjoy the evening but he was clearly off duty (he normal does not attend such things without prompting!
Mum and Dad seemed to enjoy the night too.
Today Mum and I went out to a cute garden centre with a shabby chic tea room this morning and mum brought me a gorgeous heart mirror for my hallway. We then all enjoyed a rather large leg of succulent lamb with all the trimmings followed by mum’s cake.
Chris then mowed the lawns as it is such a gorgeous day and we went for a walk around the village to bring in all the flyers from last night taking the field route on the way back.
Time now for blip catch up, followed by nibbles and Downton Abbey.
Happy Sunday folks
