7 KPH?!

One thing that is frustrating in Canada and the US is the speed limits. Main roads are 80kph in Canada which translates to about 50 mph. There were some sections where this went to 100kph (60mph), but they were few and far between.
As much as find driving in the US mind numbingly boring it is very frustrating to do it so slowly.

Today's ventures were off "the island" and onto one even smaller over on Saltspring Island. A short 30 minute ferry ride was taken over with the car for a day of fun. Saltspring has the highest concentration of artists anywhere in Canada. This was plainly visible when we drove the car into the town of Ganges. Not a single bit chain store in sight - everything was locally produced. Fantastic day out and some very nice food sampled to boot.
