Summerhousewarming
We had an impromptu party to christen the summerhouse. It was supposed to be "early evening drinks" with a couple of couples from down the road but it went on til after midnight. We've proven that the summer house can accommodate six grownups, three children and two dogs -- and still have room for a makeshift dancefloor.
We don't have electricity to the summerhouse yet so assumed that there'd be a natural end to the evening when the sun went in... but of course once the party got started we couldn't let a little thing like that stop us, so we carried on by candlelight til the wee small hours.
I took lots of pin-sharp group shots while the light was still good, but looking back through the pics, this sums up the night best -- dark, blurry but lots of fun. This is Laura and Ann dancing with giant foam hands on. I think it might have been to "Saturday Night" by Whigfield but I'm not entirely sure.
My favourite kind of night... felt it this morning though. Ouch.
