Michaelmas daisy

This a michaelmas daisy, pictured on Michaelmas Day, and very close to the Church of St Michael and All Angels, which will be celebrating its feast day today. Michaelmas the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere, but it feels like we are still in the tail end of summer - we can certainly eat lunch outside!

The BOSCH Harvest Festival last night was a great success. I think we wowed them with our songs and poems. 4' 33" was perhaps the highlight! We also performed a short 14th century duet, 2 sound poems by Bob Cobbing, a counting piece for 2 voices, John Cage's beautiful song The Wonderful Widow of Eighteen Springs, a song written by OB called The Moonchild, a short extract from Kurt Schwitters' Ursonate and Christoper Fox's Anna Blossom's Book of Chinese Proverbs. The audience was very appreciative and engaged. Hurrah for eclecticism.

Square September will soon be over! There's another michaelmas daisy shot which didn't suit the square format here.
