Our lovely hotel

We have had a lovely time at the hotel! We had a very posh meal last night with lovely wine and chilled conversation. It was exactly what the doctor ordered after some sad and shocking news earlier in the week about a friends daughter who was born with lots of health problems. It's going to be a difficult week this week, and I'm going to have to explain to Charlotte this afternoon that her friend has gone to heaven. She understands about death but to her only grown ups die. I don't think she will understand a child dying. The death was kind of expected, just not as quickly as it did happen though. As a result of this news we will be having a very chilled out afternoon with her. I'm not really sure what to do in this situation and that makes me feel really rubbish as a mum. Lots of TLC, cuddles and trying to honestly answer her questions I guess. :-(
