Two Suns

If I didn't know better I'd swear that there were two suns rising in the sky this morning - and I hadn't been drinking! I can only guess that the mistiness and distant high cloud created an optical illusion. I was out of bed before sunrise because I wakened around seven and took a number of pictures in the beautiful mauve, orange and pink glow that you sometimes see when the sun is still below the horizon.

Despite having taken some interesting pictures of translucent ornaments with this cracking back lighting, I reckoned I might not see this 'two suns' phenomenon again along with such beautiful cloud formations. Hence today's blip! If anyone else saw the sun rise over Bearsden I'd be pleased to know.
