War Horse

We went to the opening night of the new production of War Horse last night at Plymouth's Theatre Royal. What an amazing performance, totally took my breath away - just stunningly wonderful. The puppeteers were brilliant and made the horses seem so real that you forgot they were there at all. It was lovely that they chose to start the tour in Plymouth as the book is based in the West Country and they filmed a lot of the scenes for the film in the fields around where I live. A very special moment was that the author of the book Michael Murpurgo came onto the stage at the end to talk to us. Anyone that has tickets to see this, you are in for a real treat. xx
